Inabyte Introduces InaCalc, Fast Math Parser and Calculation Component for COM Developers
NOVATO, CA, September 20, 2000 Inabyte Inc., a developer of components for the COM(TM) environment and the Win32(R) architecture, today unveiled InaCalc, a powerful parsing and calculation component.
The InaCalc component integrates expression parsing, evaluation and dependent formula recalculation. It is useful in two general areas: first, when a formula has to be defined and evaluated at runtime (for example, if the end user is allowed to enter a formula that will be evaluated and used); second, when a set of formulas that depend on each other are defined, configured and evaluated at run-time.
InaCalc supports conventional math operators and functions, and it is ideal for industrial-strength number crunching. It also supports a range of data types, including string, date-time, logical, and operators and functions for these data types. InaCalc allows defining variables and sets of related formulas that implement spreadsheet-like recalculations. Moreover, InaCalc's custom function support and the flexible work modes provide tremendous power and utility.
InaCalc is available in Standard edition and Professional edition. Standard edition supports single formula evaluation, all sets of operators and built-in functions, and allows using variables in formulas. InaCalc Professional supports spreadsheet-like multiple formula recalculation, as well as custom function support and virtual variables.
InaCalc Standard is available free on the Inabyte Web site at www.inabyte.com. InaCalc Professional is available for $279.00 single developer/server license on the Inabyte Web site and at Component
