A component that can do real-time validation of e-mail addresses for authenticity. Validates against common e-mail addressing schemes. By having the ability to determine the status of a potential email address, online companies can cut down on input errors, improve communications and reduce the likelihood of fraud.
Works within an Application or Active Server Page
Provides real-time address validation
Warns on verification of suspect addresses
Validates addresses with correct root domain (i.e. .com, .org, .net, .uk, etc.)
Allows for real-time domain validation (i.e. inabyte.com)
Allows for real-time mailbox validation (i.e. firstname.lastname@example.org)
Allows for real-time syntax validation (RFC821)
Works through a DNS server to validate mail server domain
and mailbox within domain. The control first checks syntax, then mail domain,
mail servers (MX Lookup) and finally mailbox
Works within Microsoft Transaction Server
Return Codes: The InaEmailCheck control provides a return code for the validation. Return codes can also be retrieved verbose. InaEmailCheck also provides warnings for mail servers that do not allow mailbox verification, thus allowing the developer to flag some entries as suspect.
An evaluation version is available through the setup. The setup requires a 'key' to install the full dll or the word 'eval' to install the evaluation dll. The evaluation dll is limited to 30 days.
Licensed per developer and per server
A per Developer license is a license that everyone pays regardless of subsequent deployment. A 3 man team means 3 licenses.
If the product is subsequently deployed on a Server Node/PC for Client Server or on a Web Server Node/PC you need to buy a server license per node.
A 10 node web site with the component on 6 of the nodes requires 6 licenses to be purchased.
