Overview

InaClock is a 32-bit Windows application that lets you synchronize your clock or the system clocks of multiple systems on a network. The program, running on a server, calls the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST at time.nist.gov), adjusts the server clock, and makes the correct UDT time available to all client systems on the network (through port 13).

InaClock has these features:

  • Allows you to synchronize your system clock manually or automatically.

  • Makes SNTP available to all client systems on the local network.

  • Offers the correct time to clients even if the NIST server is temporarily unavailable.

  • Works with a Proxy Server (firewall).

  • Allows you to create and view a log of all outgoing time requests.

  • Can dial up the timeserver (using RAS or DUN) or take advantage of an existing connection.

  • Installs into the Windows Control Panel (uses minimal resources and occupies no space on your start bar or system tray).

  • Works under Windows 95, 98, NT, ME, or 2000.

The InaClock component is released in two editions - Server and Client.

(If you are looking for a developer solution that makes the time available to you, but does not set the system clock, see InaClockCtrl)

Small: exe 88k cpl 56k

Licensed per client and per server

A per client license is a license that everyone pays.

If the product is deployed on a Server Node/PC for Client Server or on a Web Server Node/PC you need to buy a server license per node.

A 10 node web site with the component on 6 of the nodes requires 6 server licenses to be purchased.
